Player Spraypaint with the option to enable and disable in-game sprays with cl_playerspraydisable should be added to CS:GO.

Expected or Desired Behavior:
Whether the player's Spraypaint option is off by default, my friends and I enjoy using spraypaints in game. There is a method to turn it on in the console, and you can rebind your "t" key to the spraypaint button.

Even with my custom config, the cl_playerspraydisable seems to disabled itself every time I reopen CS:GO. I use the following bind which will reset after a new round and I can use it after the first instance.
bind "t" "cl_playerspraydisable 0; impulse 201"

If we can have the option for ingame sprays back, and the if hidden path wants the spray disabled by default, atleast let it be turned on easily. New players wont know they are missing out unless they go to the options and see it's available.

I also just had an alpha released of an online tool that will allow you to easily create a custom spraypaint for Counter-Strike 1.6 using PHP, HTML5 and the canvas element. It's so easy to use and doesn't require you to learn the correct resolution formula and download Wally. Even though it's 10 years too late, I was hoping to release it to the cs 1.6 community as a thank you for such a great game. As I said it is only in an alpha release within a small cs community, if you are interested in it's beta release send me a message on steam.

My only problem with this is the potential use of transparent player model sprays. It should be a server setting as well as a client draw setting, unless the client draw cvar (cl_playerspraydisable) defaults to Off. That, and all the weird MLP porn.

Sprays have always been one of my favourite things in VALVe games, it's one of the little quirks that makes it stand out from other engines and I'm really feeling it's absence in CS:GO. It's obviously still there in the engine, so is there really any reason to disable it?

I agree that they should be brought back and I believe Valve/hidden Path plan on bringing them back. they were removed to stop the causing anomalous results in the data that is gathered from the beta. (By anomalous results I mean people shooting at decoy sprays etc).

I can't beleive I forgot to put that into my personal list. Yeah, spray paints are absolutly fundamental.

Please Valve, would be such an easy fix. It adds that personal touch to the game. Sure some douches use it to spray offensive pron, but really even that is part of the game. Make it default. I miss it for the lulz between the intense gameplay.

By all means implement sprays if it's an easy task, but they're simply not important enough to me to demand they be in the game. I usually turned them off anyway; I don't really care about other players' anime waifus or porn.

    Thumbed down this.
Its so useless, I had even the command disabled in my previous CS:S server.

So useless when people spray their penis pictures over all the map...
    Just WHY?

CS is not a grafitti game, its a game with a objective of planting the bomb, defusing the bomb or rescuing the hostages.

    -----

Theres a new personal touch to the game that I love more, and that is that your Steam community profile is linked into the game. I uploaded a pic of my IRL face and wrote my IRL name as nick - really COOL when I kill somebody and my face & name appears in their killcam.

See the new Steam Community link as the new "spray" thing. And good its moderated too so offensive pictures are being deleted by steam administrators.

i would very much like to see a return of the sprays, anyone getting butthurt over offensive sprays, pfft, get over it princess.

sprays have been a part of CS since CS 1.0, since the beta of the original CS evem, to take sprays out would be silly, it just wouldnt be CS without sprays.

Why? Its not meant to be a grafitti game. Its a terrorist/counterterrorist game.
So how can CS be "not CS" without sprays?

I don't understand why sprays would be fundamental to game play?

Sebastian, I don't think you're getting the point... CS has ALWAYS had sprays but in this one it's missing. It's a part of CS just as much as firing from the hip is a part of CS. VALVe said CS:GO was supposed to be the best parts of all CS games put into one, but this is one feature that is missing and should not be.

This feature should be added. I feel that it is indeed an important part of the CS experience, and not having it really takes away from the game for me. Sprays add a bit of comedy and fun, which to me has always been important for CS, not to take it so serious all the time and have Fun.

You don't go around saying "Fuck, I wish spraypaints would be working now, it would've helped me so much during that round!", you would just like to see sprays back to dick around.

Changing this back to Low, Wishlist.

I wish, that to spray a logo will be possible in the future, I really miss it. Maybe it's a way to reduce pron pictures, when you only allow to spray the Steam-Profile-Avatar. Disable it by default and clean the map after every round, so it's not so easy to get an advantage with spraying logos, for example: an opponent sprays a white logo at the spawn point to see the enemy better. Like someone else said, there has to be the possibility to diasable it as a client and on the server.

I think spraypaint picture / image should only available in CS:GO menu
so players can not make customize spraypaint

just like old 1.6 we can pick only spray picture in the option menu

I personally could not care less about this. I've always disabled sprays, and could continue doing so, so it wouldn't bother me, but there are so many other things on here that are more important.

It is a feature that will please some of us, doesn't break anything, can be disabled for people who do not like it, so why not ?

It should be "sv_playerspraydisable 0" otherwise it's pointless because we all know that all players will have sprays enabled.
